Dear Active Stock/ETF Trader,

It's a real hassle to try and figure out what's worth trading, and how to manage entries and exits, when using complicated technical signals on charts. Your goal is to make money trading, right? Not to become a technical analyst trying to figure out squiggly-line stochastic/RSI or other patterns for a living. Keeping it simple is the key.

Back when I was a Fortune-500 consultant to companies like Chevron, Sheraton and others, I had the unique privilege of being trusted by many very wealthy executives. And one thing they had in common was an almost uncanny ability to "follow the money". As it relates to active trading, that comes down to knowing how to trade strong price-action "money flow" patterns in the charts, which you're about to learn.

Unlocking the ability to look at a chart and instantly make trading decisions purely based on Price Action is one of the most useful skills you can gain as a trader.

When I first started trading, I bought lots of books. I thought, incorrectly, that "the more I knew about chart patterns, the better a trader I'd become". That was wrong-headed of me.

Now over 13 years later (and having traded millions worth of stocks and ETFs), I've come to realize that it's not necessary to master every overwhelming signal out there. Instead, simply being able to correctly, instantly spot specific price-action trading patterns is much more useful...

Why? Because it's all about trading the most volatile, strongest-moving charts. Instantly choosing the strongest trading signals from among all the "noise" out there is important for successful trading. Developing this much-needed skill can take you literally years to acquire on your own.

I should know, that's how I did it — the hard way. You can shave years off your learning curve by discovering all my best shortcuts for trading price action patterns, to help you identify the very best potential trading setups.

That's great news..... because you're about to learn how to spot price-action patterns for yourself, as I "take you by the hand" and let you look over my shoulder, as we go through dozens of price-action trading setups and new patterns for today's markets, together in Price Action Mastery...

...and the best part is, you can see for yourself how to quickly, easily spot these patterns for YOUR trades as well (this is good — I call it "player-level" trading.... you can actually USE this!). See how:

Ready To Learn How a Real Trader Uses Price-Action Patterns to SIMPLIFY His
Trading, Using What He's Learned from Thousands of Actual Trades... PLUS how you can
quickly use these little-known trading strategies in your own trades, too?

Getting Confused by "Indicator Overload" (or non-working bs green-arrow red-arrow trading software) Is Time Consuming and Uncertain... How Much Better Could You Trade If You KNEW How To Spot Price-Action Patterns for Yourself?
How to recognize (and trade!) specific new price-action pattern entries every single time you put on a stock or ETF trade, and how you can discover the strategies you need to be able to do this on your own.

Price action patterns (in addition to cups), using basics like ATRs to more advanced (yet easy to see) entry signals is a key trading skill you'll be unlocking with me.

Gaining the visual price-action trading skills to quickly be able to pull up a handful of charts and figure out how to trade them is a primary goal for this training.

The "A to Z" of professional price action trading, revealed...  As one of the world's foremost authorities on active visual pattern recognition skills trading, I will show you how to adapt specific price patterns to your own personal trading style.

In this comprehensive trading course, you'll discover how to use a practical, and immensely useful set of price action trading skills you'll value for's just that good.
How to instantly use "Price Action Mastery" blueprints and trading strategies for developing a personal trading plan that you can use every week.   Once you know what to look for, when using these powerful price action trading skills, you'll also need your personal "roadmap" to help you get there.

As part of this special series of training sessions, you'll learn exactly what to start doing differently in your own trades... and you'll learn all of this in Price Action Mastery, as I show you how to trade these new updated patterns.
Your "Price Action Replacement" tactics for simplifying your entire trading approach. If you've ever struggled with "indicator overload", or cheesy red arrow green arrow software that doesn't work in the real world, then you'll especially like this part.

Because you'll learn new "replacement tactics" designed to help you easily swap out new entry and exit skills for what you may have been doing in the past with your trades. You'll unleash very specific new substitution strategies that you can use instead of what you've been doing. This is "player material", from one real trader to another... and you've got to get your hands on it.
Live Q&A with Ken Calhoun live online!  Got questions?  Have a chart you'd like me to take a look at?  We'll look at live charts as a team, and you're welcome to get answers to your trading questions FAST, from an actual trader.   This is a "must see" trading webinar series if you're an active stock or ETF trader.

Now I trade easily, confidently and without any hesitation. But it wasn't always like that...

Here's my true 'transformational' trading story:

Back in the late 90's, day trading was "all the buzz". There were silly commercials of people owning islands and giving up their day jobs to trade during the infamous "NASDAQ bubble". But, it still intrigued me. At the time, I was a consultant to dozens of Fortune-500 companies. It was the best of times, to start off trading. I devoured every trading book I could get my hands on. Dozens of books, all talking about very
different, utterly confusing chart patterns. So many different technical indicators — sheesh! it made my head swim. And I've got a background in quality engineering and statistics... yet it was still quite overwhelming.

Sound familiar?

Then, I tried to learn all the various technical indicators... from Fibonaccis to MACD and RSI and stochastics and everything else. It was mostly hit and miss, to be honest. Candlesticks seemed to work relatively well, as did simple patterns (like my cup breakouts, you may have seen me publish around the world). But overall I was still confused by how to combine technical signals to help me with trading entries.

And I'll admit, I was initially mis-led by all those greedy trading industry vendors, trying to sell "magic systems"... you know the kind... things like overpriced $1,000+ software that magically generates green and red entry signals to use. That doesn't work (if it did, the software developers would be rich, right?). But their marketing and sales promises seemed too good to be true.

Turns out, magic software doesn't work. The misleading vendors just showed me cherry-picked examples, which were Not representative of how most charts worked. Bah humbug... Now I was discouraged by the trading industry vendors who tried to sell me non-working software. Rightly so....

Next, I found books by folks like Steve Nison, Tony Oz, Barry Rudd and Toni Turner, which all were very useful. And then I began experimenting on my own, with hundreds of real day and swing trades, to find out what worked the best. Years later, I started to "get it"....

... the good news is, I realized, finally (the hard way), that trading does not have to use a lot of "squiggly lines on charts to figure out how to trade". You know from my training, webinars, courses, industry articles and Expo presentations that I like to keep traders focused on the strongest, simplest patterns that have high volatility and wide trading ranges.

Then, it slowly dawned on me... the truth about trading is that it's a lot more about a) money management, like scaling in to winners and keeping stops as small as possible, and b) separating out the strongest price action entries from everything else, the "noise and chop charts" in the markets, to trade based mainly off of price action patterns.

That's it. No holy grail — just good old-fashioned common sense... trade what's strongest and manage your dollars, your P&Ls correctly, like I show in hundreds of actual trade example screencap proof on my forum.

So I tested, learned what worked best, started publishing articles, spoke at industry expos and more. it became my mission to show traders, from "one real trader to another", how this game is played.

But the main thing is, I showed the transformation of how a "regular guy" could, with enough hard work and perserverence, "get it", and go from confused to confident in my own actual trades. The main thing is, focus on the pure price action in your trades... what is "exceptional"? What are the "outlier" charts that have high volume and volatility?
So there you have it... from "confused to confident". I don't promise you can drive fancy cars or buy islands or even make millions. I'd rather tell you the truth... this is hard as heck and most won't ever make it. And no magic software or indicators can help, either. It's about "rolling up your sleeves" and getting clarity and focus on what price action patterns are strongest.
And what I have learned has now reached thousands around the world, has won industry acclaim and awards, I'm in the major industry publications and expos, and all the rest of it.

But it all started off with a fierce determination to become financially independent through trading, and learning how to "keep it simple" by learning how to trade the markets with price action patterns. I look forward to helping you learn what I've discovered for myself, in my upcoming Price Action Mastery training, too!

To "getting it", by using price action trading,

Skip the overly-complicated technical indicators; start using price action patterns instead, every time you trade!

No overpriced software needed — use the techniques you're about to discover with any charting software
you wish... now it's easier than ever.

FAQ: What markets is this training for?
Answer: Specifically for stock and ETF day and swing traders. You'll get dozens of examples for both swing and intraday traders, with interactive activities, online realtime coaching during the webinar events, and much more.
FAQ: You're offering a full 21-hours of training (like getting a 3-day live seminar). How did you choose this length of time?
Answer: There's a full 21 hours needed, because developing the skill to be able to instantly trade based off of pure price action patterns takes time to master... and I want to make sure you really "get it" and have plenty of examples and interactive activities to learn from.
This includes both evening and live market training sessions, designed to help you go from where you're currently at, to a much more professional skill level. By spacing the training out to give 21 one-hour webinars, you'll be sure to learn dozens of new techniques... plus have time to answer questions during each event. It's comprehensive, professional, and bargain-priced this one time only, during this introductory special offer... because I want to give you all the skills you need, in one powerful 21-event online series.
FAQ: Are the webinar sessions downloadable in case I can't make them all?
Answer: Yes -- in fact they're in exceptionally high-resolution .wmv bluray quality (1920x1080 resolution), usually around 300Mb each, that you can download. You'll have access to an individual download area where you can download each webinar recording, posted within 48 hours after each event..
FAQ: How is your training unique — how's this different from other educators?
Answer: The main thing is that I'm a real trader, who proves it with regular P&L screencaps of actual trades I've done (as you've seen in the preview webinars). As a real trader, I can show you how I trade, and do it in a fast-paced, professional learning environment.

Also, since I used to be a Fortune-500 corporate training consultant (to companies like Ford, Sheraton, Chevron, McDonnell Douglas, Hyatt and others), you'll get to learn in an interactive hands-on learning format during webinars... not snoozefest one-way lectures like others do. I make the sessions fun, engaging, practical, authentic (since I'm a real trader), plus get you up to speed quickly using an interactive "immersion coaching" format that's unique in the trading industry.
I'm a recognized world-class teacher, trainer, and consultant... in addition to being a real trader. What this means to you is, you can learn on a much deeper, more personal level...and do it in a fast, interactive and brilliantly delivered format that's unique. It's just that good (see all the hundreds of testimonials on my sites, including video ones, that demonstrate how well traders learn with me).
FAQ: Ken, how's this different from your other training?
Answer: Price Action Mastery™ focuses specifically on helping you discover how to use price-action patterns for both breakout and pivot entries & exits. What's unique is the new patterns, updated tactics, additional strategies and activities. It's designed to add on to my other courses and deliver new trading skills and visual trade entry and exit skills.
FAQ: Ken, how do we schedule my 30-minute personal phone coaching call?
Answer: We will schedule all coaching calls starting late January, at a time that's mutually convenient for both of us. I'll ask traders to send me 3 times that are good for you, and I choose one and we finalize the time. I then phone you at the arranged time for our personal call. This is a rare bonus (I used to charge $2K/hour for phone coaching calls back in 2001-2005 when I offered them).

FAQ: How does your "immersion coaching" and "you make the call" training work, in Price Action Mastery training?
Answer: Traders learn best by being involved in the learning process, not just passively watching a webinar like it's a talking-head cable tv show. So I design special activities within each session that basically have you follow along with the technique, then make entry and exit calls on how you'd enter the trade (if you wish). It's completely optional to participate in, I'd encourage you to take advantage of this professional, interactive approach to help accelerate your learning and skill development faster than ever.

By "immersion coaching" what I mean is that we go through charts together as a team, and work to get you focused on figuring out exactly how to use that day's Price Action Mastery tactic for yourself, using the charts we're learning from. It's so much better than the slow lecture-style one way powerpoint lectures that other educators use... instead you learn from actual market charts, with Price Action Mastery strategies explained carefully, with interactive Live Q&A with me throughout each session... it's a powerful way to learn how to really trade.

What kind of trader support do you offer?
Answer: I answer your questions during the members only live webinars — so you can ask about a specific price action trading technique and get live realtime answers. I can't answer individual questions via email, due to time constraints, so please do not send email questions about trading, because with so many traders I simply do not have time to answer individual trading questions via emails.

I look forward to seeing you in the webinars, where we can go over questions together. I can stay around as long as thirty minutes after each event for trader Q&A.
FAQ: What's the main benefit of learning Price Action Mastery with you?
Answer: As I describe in the videos, the main advantage is gaining professional-level trading skills designed to help you become independent of alerts services, special software, newsletters, chatrooms and similar "crutches".
And to be able to "clear the chart clutter" so you can see step by step exactly how to set your entries and exits by pulling up a chart and quickly knowing how to trade it like a professional trader. Think of how much time you can save, by not using lagging indicators, and instead being able to substitute the skill to rapidly, quickly know how to "tear apart" a chart and figure out how to trade it.
Gaining the confidence and speed to nimbly go through your charts and instantly know how to trade them, is a lifelong skill you'll value for as long as you trade. As one of the industry's top recognized pros in momentum day and swing trading (and a real trader who proves it), I'm uniquely qualified and capable to teach you all the skills you need.
FAQ: I'm an options (or Forex, or E-mini) trader... can this help me?
Answer: Price Action Mastery™ will feature chart examples for swing trading and intraday trading stocks and ETFs (not Forex or ES/e-minis). However the price-pattern training that you'll be learning can be readily adapted to trading other markets, since it teaches you the specific "how to" skills for quickly spotting price entry patterns that can be used with any chart.

For options traders, gaining an understanding of how to use price action is a critical skill as well, so yes it can be very useful for options traders as well. Just remember it won't be discussing strike prices and puts/calls, or Forex/ES charts, as we'll be learning using stock & ETF swing and day trading candlestick charts together.
FAQ: I've got another question about the Price Action Mastery training program, how can I ask questions?
Answer: Simply click the "Support" tab on the left of this page (or click here) to submit a question.

"At the heart of any chart is the price action. However, I have always found price alone to not give me the clarity I need to make a decision. Is it possible to use price alone or are their indicators that help in the decision making? I sure love being the guy at the tropical beach but is that making life too simple? Looking forward to having some answers and seeing how you approach it, Ken." - Noel L.
Reply from Ken: Hi Noel, of course there's many indicators to look at; though the key is to spend more time on MARKET indicators, versus individual chart-pattern indicators. For example I am always looking premarket at the NASDAQ premarket futures, prior day relative sector strength and premarket gaps; and in-market indicators like the TRIN, the ES (e-mini) directional ranges, sector percentages, volumes, and other indicators. So yes there's a lot more to it than simply price, but most of the other factors are market (and sector) specific, not intra-chart. Within charts; everything from specific short-term candle patterns to "lengths of micro-trends", depths of cups, ATRs and other patterns come into play. Great question, glad you brought it up. See my 3 feature Price Action articles for more.

"I've been studying Ken's disciplines for some time now.  The simplicity of this well defined approach is a way to make good trading decisions.  Good decisions remove  the emotional conflict that comes from indecision and uncertainty..Price action cuts to the quick.  What level has the price come from...where is the price now...and where can the price potentially move to from where it is." - Wes T.
Reply from Ken: Hey Wes, thanks... always good to hear your thoughts on these strategies. And right; price action is the purest, strongest and most useful signal available, so that's why I use that as the primary "reason why" to enter and exit my trades. Whether it's intraday using tape reading, or swing trading using specific price-action patterns (ranges, extensions, ATRs, candle patterns etc), it all comes back to price, with volume as a secondary indicator, and all else as derivatives/not as important.

"I believe the only way to trade is using price action. I tried using indicators but since they lag I would get into trades late. I still look at indicators secondary and supply/demand primarily." - Charles W.
Reply from Ken: Right, Charles; you bring up a good point, in that relying on lagging indicators has a heavy price to pay; namely late entries and exits. To "tighten up" your approach, price action takes priority over everything else... a lesson far too many traders learn far too late, if at all. Thanks for writing in; see you in the webinar!

Reply from Ken: Hi Jean, good point.. I've found that simplifying much of my trading process to go "WIDER", meaning more instruments, lighter size traded, then scaling in to winners, all based on price action, is a much better approach than overanalyzing and going "Deep" into onesy-twosy charts on large size. A lesson learned many years late, I'll admit... but better late than never. See you there.

"I have never been able to completely wean myself off indicators, but I know I'm in good company because I've frequently seen high quality Price-Action gurus fall back on an crutch indicator now and then. I'd like to see how Ken presents his price action and if there is a chance might cover the benefits of the candle variants Tick and Range which I find very helpful when trend and pivots are noise buried in Time based candlesticks." - Roberto T.
Reply from Ken: Good point, Roberto... that's interesting to hear. Personally I don't use any indicators for price-action based trading at all... I'll use a 1-minute or 5/15/60-minute/daily candlestick charts, with volume — and that's it. Professional price action trading looks a lot more at things like price elasticity, lengths of micro-trends, depth of cups, percentage price changes and other strategies. See you there, thanks!

Reply from Ken: Hi Alwin, thanks for the kind comment, glad to hear my teaching's been valuable. You bring up a good point, which is that getting a clear understanding of how to use price action correctly, can potentially give you a healthy "edge" over other traders (especially those that use indicators, since those are derived/lagging by definition). Trading off pure price action is the best way to trade, in my way of thinking at least. Welcome to the event; see you there!

Reply from Ken: You've hit on the main benefit of price action trading, and that's how simple it can be. The challenge is in gaining the specific price action pattern recognition skills. Many traders ask me, during my live-market and weekend events, to pull up charts that I would never even consider trading myself, because the volatility and price action is too quiet, with bad trading odds. Learning the difference between which charts are really worth trading, based on price action, is a big plus. See you in the webinar - thanks for posting!

"Ken, Would like to understand the probabilities of different types of cup patterns using price action.  SRPT today is a good example using a 1 min chart. There are several cup patterns formed, it has an ATR of ~$2 and if you waited for the major cups in the morning to set-up you made no $ however, if the minor cups were played you did well.  Would like to better understand how to better spot and play the minor cups with high probability. Thanks for providing real life education for traders!" - Steve K.
Reply from Ken: Good point, Steve. Trading price action involves several strategies; cups are a good place to start. The main thing is to learn this new set of price-action patterns using a variety of signals we'll learn about (not only major/minor cups, candles and breakout trends), but additional new price action plays that'll be useful to learn about... I'll see you in the training.

Risk Disclosure: The risk of loss trading securities, futures, forex, and options can be substantial and is not for every investor. Individuals must consider all relevant risk factors including their own personal financial situation before trading. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Generally-expected customer results are that all traders lose money and do not become profitable, regardless of the training they receive -- trading is a high-risk speculative activity and there is significant risk of financial loss involved.Trading involves a substantial degree of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Rule 4.41 HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN. IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM. ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.
